1,000 TICS/DAY TO 35/DAY IN 6 MONTHS!!! #LIFERESTORED
Tourette Syndrome affects about 5 of every 10,000 people worldwide.
In the media, it’s often portrayed as a verbal tic – like an uncontrolled curse word or the like.
While that often happen what is more common is a compulsive motion known as a ‘motor tic.’ It can vary to a few to a lot depending on the person.
THERE ARE NATURAL OPTIONS
In our office we talk with lots of people and parents who are fed up with the traditional pharmaceutical management and are looking for complementary methods to help get to the cause rather than just treat symptoms.
This week in our office we had the pleasure of talking about a case study that was published in the Journal of Pediatric, Maternal, and Family Health.
It went over the case of a 14-year old boy who suffered for YEARS with migraines, chronic fatigue, and Tourette’s syndrome.
He was constantly missing school and had enough.
He visited a neurologically-based chiropractic office and began his journey.
Over the course of 6 months this young man went from years of migraines, chronic fatigue, and tourette’s syndrome including over 1,000 uncontrolled tics a day…
to improvements in energy, migraines, and only 35 tics a day!!! And he was just getting started!!
LET’S GET BACK TO THE BRAIN
Chiropractic care is based around assessing for subluxation – or misalignments of the spine that cause interference and irritation to the nervous system (brain/spinal cord/nerves).
Typically, these misalignments can date all the way back to the birthing process where we have tons of stress and strain on the head and neck of baby. The top of the neck, specifically, puts a lot of input into the brain because it is responsible for a good majority of our posture (the brain tries to keep the eyes level). When there is subluxation in this area, there’s a bombardment of proprioceptive (big fancy word but it just means postural) information to the brain.
This results in an overall disconnection between the brain and body — in specific neurological challenges — this disconnection contributes to impulses related to symptoms of ADHD, autism, tourette’s syndrome, among others.
CORRECT THE CAUSE
The role of a chiropractor is to specifically locate and correct these subluxations so that each and every person can heal and function at 100% of their potential.
It’s that simple!
Your body is destined for greatness! Chiropractic care just helps unlock it.
