Craniosacral Therapy in Wall, NJ
Craniosacral Therapy is a gentle, hands-on approach to healing that helps to release tension in the body and nervous system to improve whole-body health and performance.
Craniosacral Therapy has become increasingly popular in recent years because of its application for babies with tongue tie, lip tie, and cheek tie. By reducing and relieving fascial restrictions in the head, neck, jaw, and mouth and enhancing flow of Cerebrospinal fluid,
Craniosacral Therapy can help create “slack” in the oral tissues and help to both:
- Regain tongue function in children with no tie revision
- Restore proper stability and function post tongue tie revision.
By creating slack in these tissues, many children, whether they have a tissue revision or not , experience massive improvements in latching, feeding, and even other conditions such as reflux, colic, and constipation.
As a chiropractor, Craniopath, and Craniosacral practitioner, Dr. Anthony Pellegrino is able to intersect and take the best from three healing arts specific to your or your child’s care. Some of these techniques
may be more useful in some cases, and some in others, and Dr. Anthony is in the unique position to develop a customized care plan for your child and ensure optimal healing.

What to expect from Craniosacral Therapy
After an initial evaluation of your child’s spine, cranium, palate, and soft tissue of the head and neck, Dr. Anthony and the doctors at Absolute Chiropractic will develop customized care recommendations for you and your child consisting of chiropractic care, craniopathy, and craniosacral therapy. At some visits during your care, one tool will be used, at others, all three will be used, everything is depending on exactly what you need and what the doctors know will be best for the outcomes and goals that you set.
The number of visits is depending on your child’s exact needs and what is necessary to create long-term change. Some children will begin to see “relief” almost immediately; however, temporary relief is not our goal.
Our goal is long term change and correction.
In a typical range, as few as 6 to 18 visits may be recommended, depending on severity of restriction and the goals that we set forth together. In medically complex or severe cases, the doctors may recommend more.
The most important thing when it comes to recommendations is ensuring the appropriate amount of care to ensure we reach our goals.
Chiropractic, Craniopathy, and Craniosacral therapy each have amazing outcomes when it comes to helping children with tongue tie or those with other challenges with breastfeeding, latching, constipation, reflux, colic, plagiocephaly, and more. By combining these three tools, se know that you will get the best care possible to reach our family’s goals.
