Can that whiplash from years ago be the cause of your Multiple Sclerosis symptoms?

Whiplash and Multiple Sclerosis

The advent of upright MRI has allowed the medical community to better understand the origins of multiple sclerosis (MS).  Researchers revealed when imaging the spine in a weight-bearing position that misalignments of the vertebrae from whiplash and injuries more than eight years prior can cause symptoms of MS.

These misalignments of the spine caused obstruction of the “cerebrospinal fluid” which flows throughout the brain and the spinal cord. These obstructions increased pressure in the skull and caused “leakages” into the surrounding brain tissue. The protein contained in the leakage caused an autoimmune reaction in the brain. This resulted in the symptom-generating lesions found in multiple sclerosis!

Specific chiropractic adjustments to these subluxations can improve the flow of cerebrospinal fluid! As a matter of fact, one of the patients in this study saw immediate improvements in symptoms, such as vertigo and vomiting, immediately after an adjustment!  Chiropractic care is crucial following ANY injury, including those injuries without any symptoms!
